Yes,... of Your Life!
Teens... you are loved. Believe it. If you don't believe this, speak to your parents, ask them.
Accountability. There comes a time in a kids life when he or she is not a kid anymore. Teens are working to support their lives, hobbies, talents, etc. But it shouldn't interfere with your school. Your education is one of the most important factor in your life. Stay in school. If you make a mistake. Stand up, be accountable, and say "I made a mistake" and move one. Don't dwell on the problem, work on the future. A person cannot become successful without failure. It's ok to make mistakes. Just try not to make the big ones. Focus on what's right, and leave your life plan to God.
Some basics. Make some goals. This is a natural part of life and a great moral boost. You want a car? Pick one, do research on how much it costs, make a goal to save money, etc. Make some small goals. Dedicate an hour a day reading the Bible. It will change your life! Make a goal for one better grade, for one more lap around the block, etc. Small achievements are a major way of feeling great!
Take charge of your life! You make mistakes, fix them. There's no problem to big. You can talk to your parents about anything. If you feel you want to talk to someone else, talk to one of our youth workers. We'll be happy to listen.
Listen. Something that makes people feel good is that someone is listening. Make yourself a better listener and make someone feel good in this gentle way. Got a brother or sister... perfect!
Surprise your family. Wake up early on Saturday, make everyone breakfast. Have your room done and do something special for the family. Simply vacuuming the house, without your mom asking.. this could jolt the family into a great feeling mood. It's small things like this that make a day.
