The Chancel Choir practices each Wednesday at 6:15 p.m. and performs weekly at the 11:00 a.m. worship service and on other special occasions. During Advent the choir performs a Christmas cantata and leads in a lessons and carols service. The Praise Band consists of instrumentalists with skill in playing musical instruments, which they wish to use for the glory of God in leading the weekly praised service. The Praise Band practices weekly with the Praise Team at 7:30 p.m. each Wednesday to prepare music for the Casual ‘n Christ service. New World Choir is a choir for 7th through 12th grades that meet each Sunday at 4:00 p.m. for weekly practice. The NWC performs at evening worship and tours during Spring Break to locations across the United States. Recent tours have been to St. Simon’s Island, GA; Chicago, IL; and Williamsburg, VA. Children’s Choir is for K4-6th grades that practice on Sundays at 4:00 p.m. The Children’s Choir performs a Christmas and Easter each year along with other specials throughout the year. BIBLE STUDIES Bible Studies are offered on Sunday mornings and evenings, Monday mornings and mid-day, Wednesday evenings. Disciple I, II, III & IV Bible Studies are offered and begin each fall and run with the school year for 34-36 weeks. Registration is required so we may have ample workbooks for each class. An Open Bible Study, led by our Pastor, is offered on Wednesday evening at 6:15 p.m. and all are welcome to join. A men’s breakfast Bible study is offered at 6:00 a.m. each Tuesday morning at John’s restaurant at 205 N. Broadway in downtown Sylacauga, all men are invited to join.
